What is your personal life motto: Count your blessings not your problems

What is the most challenging professional obstacle you have had: The Air Force taught me that everyone that is in a leadership role isn’t necessarily a leader but despite that you still have to give 100% because if you don’t you’re only cheating yourself.

If you could do any job, what would that be? Lol… I would love to be an On-Star operator for a day because they all seem to be just so happy.

Who do you wish you could meet? I would love to meet Cicely Tyson.

What would your best friend say is the best/most annoying quality about yourself? My straightforwardness.

What advice would you give your younger college self? Save $100 every month and do things outside your comfort zone.

5 Style Tips for a Southern Summer

  • Keep it loose

If you’ve never experienced a summer in the South, let me tell you it gets really really hot! The less fabric that you have touching your body, the cooler you will be.

  • Say yes to hats

Big floppy straw hats, baseball caps or a cute little fedora will add a little extra sass to your outfit and help keep you cool. Let’s be honest us southern girls love a little sass.

  • No flimsy fabrics

Light fabrics are great for southern summers. They need to have some structure so that they won’t cling to your body when you start to sweat because you will sweat.

  • Have cute flats

Summer is the time for festivals and hanging with friends at a barbeque or as we call them cookouts. Looking cute is just good manners when you head outside the house. A cute flat or sandal will go a long way in the south and your feet will thank you.

  • Be comfortable

Weather it’s a maxi dresses or t-shirts and shorts make sure you are comfortable. Because heat can be used as a synonym for a southern summer and you don’t want to be hot and uncomfortable.
