Two brands committed to honoring cultural heritage through timeless design—Charleston-based The Tiny Tassel and heritage brand Bee Blunt—have officially launched The Hammons Collection, a limited-edition collaboration years in the making.

The collection, which features signature beaded earrings and a statement clutch, is a powerful accessories tribute to artist David Hammons and draws inspiration from the Pan African American Flag, as conceptualized by Marcus Garvey. This powerful symbolism is brought to life through the artisanal beadwork that The Tiny Tassel is known for.
The partnership first blossomed in the summer of 2024, when Bee Blunt invited The Tiny Tassel to their curated pop-up shop in Oak Bluffs, Martha’s Vineyard. What began as a celebratory weekend has evolved into a meaningful fusion of aesthetics.
“When I first saw Bee Blunt’s Hammons Sweater, I was captivated by how they honored the Pan African American Flag with such elegance and intention,” said the founder of The Tiny Tassel. The collaboration was a natural step, allowing The Tiny Tassel to apply their signature beaded artistry to Bee Blunt’s design ethos, creating pieces that “celebrate heritage, spark conversation, and honor the richness of our shared stories.”
The collection features two statement pieces:
- The Hammons Clutch: A fully beaded bag showcasing the vibrant red, green, and black of the Pan African American Flag on both sides. The versatile design includes a satin interior pocket and a detachable crossbody chain.
- The Hammons Earrings: Bold, 1.25″ beaded statement earrings featuring the Pan African American Flag colors, finished with The Tiny Tassel’s signature soft felt backing. They are hypoallergenic and nickel-free.
Each piece is hand-drawn in The Tiny Tassel’s Charleston creative studio and handmade by skilled global artisans in India. The collaboration seamlessly bridges Bee Blunt’s commitment to classic American design with the joyful, handcrafted aesthetic of The Tiny Tassel.
The Hammons Collection is available now exclusively at thetinytassel.com, with pieces ranging from $36 for the earrings to $88 for the clutch.
