Southern Girl in a Pageant World: Get to Know Khalena Knox

Khalena Andrea Knox exudes the pageantry in being a southern belle. Beyond her beauty, she is an #HBCUBelle who graduated from Florida A&M University (FAMU) with a Bachelor’s of Science in Molecular Cellular Biology.

Khalena is a model/actress who has worked for power house beauty companies such as Farouk Systems, Clairol and REVLON. She has booked the Bronner Brother’s Hair and Fashion show working for companies such as IC, Fantasia, and Bovanti Cosmetics. Khalena also appeared in commercials for KFC, the HBO movie “Recount”, 20TH CENTURY FOX FILM Drum Line, Hype Hair Magazine, Metro Styles Magazine, and Vh1’s hit show “Single Ladies”.

Outside of modeling and acting, Khalena has held titles in the Miss Universe Organization, Miss Asia Pacific World Organization and the International Pageants, Inc. Khalena was Miss Palm Beach County USA 2012, Miss Blue representing the Alpha Eta Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc, the first Miss Asia Pacific World USA, a semifinalist in the Miss District of Columbia USA pageant and is Miss Florida International 2014.

Khalena volunteers with the Children’s Home Society of Florida and the Lupus Foundation of Florida which are both dear to her heart. Khalena works closely with One Church One Child of Florida as a board member of the non-profit organization. More recently, Khalena has starred in WE Tv show, “Match Made in Heaven” in which she was a cast mate. She is currently the entertainment reporter for the Joe Lockett Show, a syndicated radio show that airs weekly and is based in Birmingham, Alabama.
