We are witnessing a profound shift toward travel that serves as a vessel for personal reflection, cultural homecoming, and deep connection. A Weekend in the Lowcountry (October 16–18, 2026) offers exactly this—a curated luxury experience that stands in stark contrast to generic group tours or party weekends.
A Weekend In The Lowcountry is a thoughtfully curated weekend created for culturally curious travelers who value meaningful experiences over traditional tourism. It’s less of a tour and more of an invitation to the people, traditions and stories that continue to shape the Lowcountry today. .
The Vision Behind the Weekend
Tiffany created A Weekend In the Lowcountry because she believed that some places are best experienced through cultural bearers and those committed to preservation. As a child, The Lowcountry and inland South Carolina, was Tiffany’s second home. Both her parents were born and raised in South Carolina and it was the backdrop of many a childhood memory, from Mother’s Day, to family reunions. Whenever she visited, she saw herself, she saw her roots. She would later recognize all of this was a part of the rich legacy of the Gullah Geechee Corridor. Suddenly, all of the festivals she attended in Beaufort and Hilton Head, the dialects she heard and the meals she had eaten carried deeper weight. Then when her grandmother’s memory began to fade, she realized much of our family’s history lived in her. Her first instinct was a to find a way to keep those pieces of her alive. She realized that preserving her grandmother’s memory also meant preserving the culture that shaped it.
Armed with the belief that we as a people deserve rest and retreat, she sought out to By centering the experience on , provide an experience that honored her roots and the fullness of Black, Indigenous and Gullah Geechee traditions. . She sought out to create a space where heritage and hospitality coexisted.
The Itinerary: An Immersive Journey
Friday: Arrival & Welcome
- Your weekend begins at the beautiful Thompson Savannah, a modern, luxury riverfront hotel where the Historic District meets the Eastern Wharf.
- After settling in, join fellow guests for an exquisite dinner reception featuring coastal cuisine. You’ll hear reflections from renowned Gullah cultural preservationist Ms. Kitty Green, whose stories and wisdom, traditions and spirit frame the weekend.
Saturday: Heritage & Traditions
- On Saturday, you’ll cross into Bluffton, SC by private charter for a guided visit at the Bluffton Gullah Cultural Heritage Center.
- Meet local artisans and culture bearers preserving generations of craftsmanship, and experience the living traditions that keep the Lowcountry’s heritage alive. You’ll engage in hands-on workshops in sweetgrass basket weaving with Ms. Jennifaye Singleton and quilting with Heritage Quilter Lisa Moore. You’ll leave with a handcrafted keepsake as a lasting reminder of your time in the Lowcountry.

- Your final morning begins with a guided Black history tour of Savannah led by acclaimed historian Rita Fuller Yates. As you explore the city’s rich cultural landscape, you’ll gain a deeper appreciation for the people, places and stories that have left an indelible mark on the region.
- Before departing, savor a leisurely Lowcountry brunch followed by a waterfront portrait session as the perfect close to an unforgettable weekend.
