I’m a huge fan of Calabash Tea & Tonic in Washington D.C. Calabash is owned by Dr. Sunyatta Amen who is a 5th generation herbalist and a naturopathic physician so the tea blends she sells are supported by both the ancestors and science. My girls are busy women, many of them entrepreneurs like myself, so I like to give them tea that is appropriate for whatever they’re going through at the time. Calabash’s TeaYoncé is a great energy booster while Triple Goddess makes a great gift because it fights inflammation (which is basically stress in physical form) and a hard-working woman needs both!

Well, I’m probably a little biased, but my favorite Black Southern Belle owned business is the one I own, Effie’s Paper :: Stationery&Whatnot, a boutique online paperie.  We make pretty products with a bit of edge that underscore our belief that the future is female and is being fueled by Black Girl Magic.

My favorite Galentine’s day tradition has been getting together a few of my closest friends and hosting a tassel earring & bracelet workshop with a full Galentine’s inspired spread- including conversation hearts & our favorite chocolates to enjoy! I love this tradition because each year we make the best memories from this night & all leave with a fun “friendship” bracelet.
