How did you meet?
A friend introduced us at a party during homecoming and we became associates. Two years later we became friends and decided to just see what happens and here we are

2 years
How did he propose?
On Christmas morning as part of my Christmas gift, he made 3 different shadow boxes of his first trip to visit me, movie tickets, and memorabilia of different trips we had taken throughout our relationship, the 4th shadow box was empty so we could fill it with memories as husband and wife
When did you know he was the one? I always told him he was a good guy and would make a great boyfriend! I just always had a good feeling about him and after we started dating I remember thinking it can’t get any better than this!
What is the cutest thing he has done for you without you asking?
He sent me a gift during my bachelorette party in Miami
What is something you love about him that has completely changed your life?
His kindness and patience; I’m the type of person that loves hard so when someone hurts someone I love I take it personally and he has shown me to not to be that way and the meaning of forgiveness
What part of wedding planning drove you crazy?
Honestly I am a project manager in real life so as long as I was organized I wasn’t going crazy

What was your first thought the day after your engagement?
I can’t believe he proposed to me like he really did it!
What was your favorite part about the ceremony?
I just remember it was like we were in our own world and no one else was in the room. He was so nervous and excited he was literally sweating to death like I could the drops rolling down his face.
What was your favorite part about the wedding?
Seeing our friends and family become one and truly enjoying themselves
What is your fondest memory of wedding planning?
No particular moment supersedes another. It was overall a pleasant experience because I’m very organized. Organization helped me maintain my stress levels.
How was your mom involved in the wedding planning?
She was not involved in the execution of the actual planning because my mother loves planning things and can get too excited at times (and forget about budget) so I gave her small projects that enabled her to use her talent in the best capacity. She made the bridal party gift bags and organized the candy bar. Even with those tasks, she exceeded my expectations
What was your favorite thing on the menu?
Unfortunately I don’t remember the taste of the food but my guest said they enjoyed it
Did you do any DIY? If so, what?
My florals arrangements were DIY. I bought everything wholesale and my aunt who was the event decorator and other family members made all of the floral arrangements by hand.
What were your wedding colors?
Navy blue and blush
What was your wedding theme?
Southern hospitality meets house party. It was very elegant and classy but we had fun during the reception.
What is your favorite part about being married to each other?
Aundraya : the best part of being married to Donald is the fact that I get to fall more in love with him as we progress in life. Not to mention we really enjoy each other’s company so I get to be silly with him and feel like I’m living with my best friend everyday. Donald: Learning to think and move as a unit. The two of us working together is greater than anything either of us could accomplish individually.
