For Andra Hall, the founder of the beloved CamiCakes, life has long been defined by the high-energy demands of building a business. Yet, today, the Atlanta-based entrepreneur is stepping into a different season—one defined by clarity, intention, and a profound discovery of what it means to be home. As a breast cancer survivor and mother of one, Hall’s perspective on the spaces she inhabits has shifted from the aesthetic to the deeply personal and restorative.

Sanctuary & Soul: Inside the Intentional Home of Andra Hall
“A home should be an expression of your personality and soothing to you when you enter it,” Hall reflects. “It’s not about cost. It’s about what speaks to you.”
The Power of Being Present
Hall’s journey to her current approach wasn’t immediate. Like many entrepreneurs, she spent years in a cycle of constant motion, building her legacy while neglecting to fully embrace the life she was creating.
“I’ve lived on all ends of the spectrum, and one thing I’ve learned is that home has less to do with where you live and more to do with whether you’re present enough to enjoy it,” she explains. “For years, I was so busy building a business that I never really slowed down to embrace the space I was in. This season of life has taught me something different. Once I slowed down, I stopped chasing what was next and started appreciating where I already was.”

Curating a Healthy Environment
For Hall, wellness is not a singular activity but a sensory experience that begins at her doorstep. She believes that a healthy home starts with a foundational question: How do I want to feel?
By answering this, she moves from passive living to active curation. Her environment is a reflection of this intentionality—music drifting in the background, the subtle notes of aromatherapy, fresh flowers arranged throughout the rooms, and a collection of art and treasures gathered over a lifetime.

Even her culinary space reflects this peace. “Healthy living isn’t just about what I eat—it’s about how my home smells, what I hear, what I see, and ultimately how I feel when I’m in it,” says Hall. “It engages all of my senses and helps me slow down, recharge, and simply enjoy being home.”
Evolving the Art of Entertaining

Perhaps the most significant change in Hall’s life has been her approach to hosting. The pressure to stage the “perfect” experience has been replaced by a desire for genuine connection.

“I love inviting family and friends into a warm, welcoming space where we can share fresh food, meaningful conversation, and celebrate life together,” she shares. “And yes, there’s usually cake. I’ve spent my life in the celebration business, and I don’t believe wellness means giving up joy.”
As her daughter, Cami, sets off for culinary school in Savannah, Hall is not just filling the quiet of a new chapter—she is savoring it. Her home has become exactly what she needed it to be: a place of peace, a sanctuary for the senses, and a testament to the joy of simply being present.
