I’ve learned to approach everything with a smile. People constantly underestimate southerners; our smile is our best weapon.

There is no fear in love. Perfect love casts out all fear.
What is the most challenging professional obstacle you have had:
Getting my foot in the door! Everyone wanted experience for an entry level position. Now that I’m in, I’m being considered for a promotion!
Who is your favorite character a “Different World”:
Whitley. I left for school with trunks full of sun dresses, heels, monogramed towels and a southern accent, the comparisons were endless lol
What do you love about HBCU homecoming season?
Being able to truly let loose with educated, accomplished, beautiful black people. I’m not big on clubs, or regular nightlife. Homecoming is always an exception. Howard Homecoming is set up with a week filled with red carpet events.
If you could do any job, what would that be?
I’d run a debutante organization to serve inner city girls
Who do you wish you could meet?
Janet Jackson! She is my inspiration, dance icon, and overall beautiful spirit.
What would your best friend say is the best/most annoying quality about yourself?
Best: I’m a good listener and give great advice. Annoying: I’m dramatic…….at times
What advice would you give your younger college self?
Pick a major!
What southern dish can you not live without?
Crawfish etouffee. It’s the best!
What are some of your favorite places to visit in the south?
I love Atlanta, there are so many successful black people doing great for themselves. Great boutique shopping too!
