Most people think of using pillows as a way to add seasonal style to a room but I instead decided to utilize this 1960s Vintage Handmade Fleur De Lis Throw This throw from Chairish is now one of my favorite pieces and paired perfectly with my purple couch for Mardi Gras season. A throw is also a great option if you choose to go the route of decorating an outdoor living space.

I love collecting books and I love to share them with my guests. If you plan to have friends over to celebrate Mardi Gras, why not make it easy for them to learn more about the New Orleans culture or Mardi Gras history by placing some of your favorite books either on a chair or coffee table in your living room. I chose to do this in my space and styled them with a Fleur De Lis Brass Bookends – a Pair  These pieces are a great way to hold your books and a perfect place to add a few beads to celebrate the season.

I also chose to place some of my favorite books, and vintage pieces on my coffee table using gold fabric to tie them all together. Don’t be afraid to mix and match styles as long as the Mardi Gras colors are incorporated it will look cohesive.

No Mardi Gras party is complete without beads. Feel free to pick your favorite candle holders, vases or glasses to fill up or drape with Mardi Gras and in this instance, more is more. Mardi Gras is a time to have fun and your party should reflect that as well.

Here are a few more pieces you can pick up from Chairish to add some Mardi Gras style to your home year round!
