Tara Hill-Starks is a passionate learner and author. Besides being one who goes above and beyond to know more, Ms. Hill-Starks enjoy providing her lessons and knowledge to children through didactic learning. She has taught in postsecondary and also higher education and understands how one can learn without being focused on the ideal of learning. This North Carolina native and member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. values the things that life has taught her, but more than ever she is thankful for her Grandmother’s teachings as a young child and also the wisdom shared by her pastor as an adult. Grandma, I Got This! Synopsis
In the text, the main character, JJ, is a young, active, and energetic boy who loves to swim and play outside. Besides his personal hobbies, JJ also loves his Grandmother dearly. Like many Grandmothers, JJ hears his Grandmother repeat often certain sayings and phrases that he acts on because of what was instilled and taught by his Grandmother. He later begins to put these actions, that his Grandmother always suggested, into his everyday life. He shares, counts his blessings, tells the truth and much more. However, one day these actions began to have more value than ever before when JJ is faced with a difficult scenario.
Overall, Grandma, I Got This!, which is publish by Tellwell Talent, is a book for all ages and genders and have received great reviews since being published in November of 2020. Some reviews state that:
