Ashley and Wade probably never expected to fall in love after taking one class. But that’s all it took for these college sweethearts to find the love of a lifetime. Four years later, this summer, this HBCU couple married each other with highlights of mint and touches of gray. Fall in love with this Albany State romance and the ceremony that sealed the deal.

How did you meet?
We met at Albany State University in Financial Management class.
How long did you date?
We dated 4 years before Wade proposed.
How did he propose?
At the end of 2 thoughtful weeks filled with different acts of love Wade proposed at the Sun Dial restaurant on our 4 year anniversary. He also surprised me by having photographers (This Is You) capture the special moment.
When did you know he was the one?
I knew he was the one early in our relationship, about 3 months. Wade treated me differently than any other guy I’ve dated. He’s a true gentleman, that is one of the things I love most about him.
What is the cutest thing he has done for you without you asking?
When I graduated from Albany State University Wade offered to pick up my grandmother and drive her all the way down to Albany for my graduation. He is willing to do anything to make me smile.
What is something you love about him that has completely changed your life?
I love the way he sees positivity in every situation, helping me view things from a different perspective.

I can’t believe I’m engaged! I love my ring!
What was your favorite part about the ceremony?
My favorite part of the ceremony was walking down the aisle seeing Wade shed a tear.
What was your favorite part about the wedding?
