Fashion Heritage: Latris Latrelle Is Building the Room Fashion Forgot to Build

Some people knock on the door of the fashion industry. Latris Latrelle looked at the door, looked at the line, and decided to build another building.

Today, the founder and Editor-in-Chief of SHUBA Magazine and the force behind Posh Group Creative Agency is one of the most connected creative strategists working across fashion, media, luxury, and travel. But her story doesn’t start in a boardroom or a Paris suite. It starts with her mother.

In 2014, Latris launched Pretty Posh Lingerie, a boutique inspired by her late mother and backed by her, too. Think of it as a crash course in entrepreneurship. She quickly learned that a great product is only the opening act. Storytelling, relationships, presentation, and knowing how to build an audience are what keep a brand standing.

She also learned something else: she was way more curious about the people creating around her than about her own collection. That same year, she sponsored a runway showcase for student designers in New York City. She wasn’t just participating in fashion anymore. She was building the stage for other people to step onto.

From there, the pieces kept moving. She took her creativity to Atlanta, where she produced a local photography “Shootout” and dove into styling and creative production. Every city and every discipline added to her education. She watched how a concept becomes a production and how one image becomes part of a bigger brand story. She also got hooked on the behind-the-scenes work, the endless decisions, logistics, and compromises that make a polished moment look effortless.

Then the world shut down. During the COVID-19 pandemic, when runways everywhere went dark, Latris made her first public runway debut through a virtual presentation. Fashion went digital, and so did she.

And then came Paris. In 2022, she made her debut at the Ritz-Carlton, placing her work in a true international luxury setting. The city carries major symbolism in fashion, but for Latris the moment meant more than the location. It was the payoff for years of experimenting, producing, and learning while she came at the industry from every angle.

Here’s where it gets interesting. After producing multiple runway shows, she noticed a pattern. The show ended, the lights went down, and emerging designers were left asking the same question: now what? They needed brand strategy, exposure, connections, and real guidance. That insight gave birth to Front Row by Latris Latrelle, a platform for producing runway experiences for emerging designers and creatives. Soon, designers weren’t only coming to her for the moment. They were coming back for what came after it.

Because let’s be honest: a runway show creates buzz, but buzz doesn’t build a business. A designer can have a stunning collection and still need positioning. A model can have talent and still need access. A founder can have a killer product and still struggle to explain why it matters. Latris made a career out of that gap between talent and opportunity.

In late 2025, she filled it with Posh Group Creative Agency, a boutique creative and strategic platform built to work with talent on a deeper level. She looks at the whole person behind the product: the effort, the passion, the creativity, the independent branding, the intention, and the drive to build something meaningful. She isn’t only interested in what a creative has right now. She’s interested in what they could become with the right support.

That perspective is personal. Latris is a Stage III cancer survivor, and she has kept building her career while facing serious challenges. For her, resilience isn’t a buzzword. It’s lived experience, and it shapes how she sees opportunity. To her, success isn’t just about personal wins. It’s about creating something useful to somebody else, whether that’s a runway, a magazine feature, strategic guidance, or an introduction that opens a door that once felt locked.

She keeps sharpening her own tools, too. In 2019, she completed the Women’s Leadership Program through Yale Executive Education at Yale School of Management, including instruction co-taught by Dr. Emma Seppälä. She also completed Marketing and Communication for Luxury Brands through a partnership between ELLE Magazine and Universidad Complutense de Madrid, strengthening her grasp of luxury marketing, communications, and brand positioning. Education gives her the frameworks, and entrepreneurship demands she put them to work.

All of it comes together at SHUBA Magazine, the global publication she founded that covers fashion, art, photography, beauty, travel, lifestyle, luxury, and culture. As Editor-in-Chief, she decides which stories deserve the spotlight, and she intentionally looks beyond the usual fashion capitals to highlight emerging creative communities, professionals, and destinations that mainstream media often overlooks. Visibility can change a creative’s trajectory, especially for those with talent but no access to the networks that decide who gets seen.

So how do you describe her? Producer, connector, strategist, storyteller, publisher, curator. She’s all of them. And her philosophy is refreshingly simple: talent shouldn’t be limited by access, geography, or resources.

Not every chapter was planned, but each one revealed a need, and each need sparked another platform. Latris isn’t just hoping for an invite to the room where decisions get made. She’s asking who’s missing from that room, and what it would take to build another one.
