3 Tips for Preparing To Decorate Your Home For The Holidays
1.  Create A Theme For Your Holiday Decor—Whether it’s a color theme or a specific holiday style, creating a unified motif helps your holiday decor flow from room to room and tabletop to tree.  Decorating themes can come from many different sources including the style of your decor, favorite family collectibles or even a specific pattern or design.  A few fun themes to consider:  Mad For Plaid,  Silver Christmas or  A Winter Wonderland.
2.  Decorate Early—The holiday season comes and goes in a flash so in order to enjoy it to the fullest, you should plan to decorate your home early. Even if you don’t put up Christmas decor until after Thanksgiving, you can add some winter touches tp your home in early November to give it a festive feel.  Use items like magnolia garland or boxwood wreaths that can easily transition from Thanksgiving to Christmas with the addition of a few holiday elements like ornaments or ribbon.
3.  Make Decorating Fun—Decorating for the holidays doesn’t have to be a chore if you set aside time to decorate and have a plan. Spend one day unpacking your holiday decor and testing all of your Christmas lights to make sure you have everything you need to start decorating.  Then block out two or three days to decorate your home so it doesn’t get overwhelming.  Turn on some music, lights candles and enjoy the process.
