3 Tips For Being Philanthropic For the Holidays with 12 Days of Christmas

3 Tips For Being Philanthropic For the Holidays with 12 Days of Christmas
Holiday season is here and it is a time for celebrating with those you love and also a perfect time to give back to those in need. To get you started, we have help from Sarita Shepherd, board member of 12 Days of Christmas, Atlanta Chapter with tips for being philanthropic for the holidays. If you are looking for a way to give back this holiday season, also be sure to check out the 12 Days of Christmas, Atlanta Chapter Fundraiser on  Wednesday, December 12  from 6 pm – 10 pm at Upstairs Atlanta. 3 Tips For Being Philanthropic For the Holidays:
1. Find a cause that you’re passionate about!
2. Donate your time – volunteer!
3. Give what you can – every little bit helps!

Take a look at images from their 2017 event and learn more about the organization below:

The Atlanta Chapter of Twelve Days, Inc. began with 4 members who were interested in sharing their blessings with others during the holiday season. With support from the New York Chapter, Atlanta began establishing their group in the last few months of 2014.

Though hosting a full fundraising event in 2014 was not possible, the members decided to use their dues to buy gifts for 2 families that included 11 children. Members shopped for clothing including warm winter items, toys for each child, and a small token for the parents. After experiencing the joy of giving through Twelve Days, the four members returned and added 2 new women to the fold in 2015.

The Atlanta Chapter has continued to grow and in 2017, the chapter will host its 3rd Party with a Purpose at Studio No. 7. Through Sponsorships from companies like Metro Foot & Ankle Centers, PC, Condo Radio as well as a host of individual donors. The party will feature Spirit Wall and Tree Lighting Ceremony to commemorate reaching their fundraising goal!
