Write Me a Letter

Write Me a Letter 6

Writing has become such a pastime. Think about it: When was the last time you received a handwritten love letter? You know one that wasn’t through text or email? If it’s recently, then you are truly one lucky Belle!

Being in college, a lot of my friends and I live in different states. And with our busy schedules, it’s so easy to lose touch! So I love to send little cards and notes to my friends to let them know that I still care and are truly thinking of them. And believe me, the responses I’ve gotten from them is worth the extra 49 cent stamp every time.

Although yes, “snail mail” takes more time than a text, email, or phone call, there is something so personal and intimate about receiving or writing a letter.

When you receive that little envelope, you know that the piece of paper you are holding in your hands is a letter written for just for you. That a loved one took the time to say “hello darling”, “miss you”, “feel better”, “congratulations” and “I love you.”

Recently, I’ve invested in some stationary and I encourage you to do so as well!

Of course simple loose-leaf and a pen will do, but for me (and for most Southern Belles) everything has to have a CUTE factor. Here are a few of my favorites:

has beautiful stationary sets like these ones.

Target also has adorable little sets as well.

If you don’t have the time to shop for some stationary, a cute little blog called A Beautiful Mess has started up a company called Happy Mail, where for $15 a month they send you some beautiful cards, envelopes, postcards, stickers and whole bunch of goodies totaled to $50 worth of stationary.

So try putting that Southern charm and sweetness onto paper! Commit yourself to one letter to your mom, bestie, or boyfriend a month and watch your relationships bloom in a new way!

XOXO
