Where are you based?

Why did you decide to start a business?
I wanted to be a business owner and I enjoyed event planning. I also wanted to create a service that I didn’t find in my local area.
What is your favorite client story? A bride and groom to be came into my office. The bride met the groom while studying abroad in Brazil. She went to see a ballet and when she walked past him he started singing “You Are So Beautiful”. From there they carried on a long distance relationship that resulted in him proposing and moving to the US. When they met with me, they wanted a wedding that represented them. Artsy and cultural. They wanted a very colorful color scheme so I directed them to the Contemporary Art Musuem here in Raleigh which is all white. We partnered with a florist, to do some beautiful colorful arrangements. The event turned out to be a success.

What is your favorite thing about being southern?
My personality. You get nowhere with a bad attitude but everywhere with a smile.
What is your favorite southern dish?
Shrimp and Grits!!! (We love them too! Can’t get enough)
What is the most important thing you have done to build your business?
Started looking at my company as a business not just as a wedding planning company.
What are your favorite southern brands?
Who doesn’t love a Krispy Kreme donut? (If that light is on, we must get a dozen glazed)
What is your favorite item or piece of clothing to wear/use while doing business?
Flats are a must! And my black blazer keeps a professional touch.
