Heart of the Home, a captivating new lifestyle and culinary web series rooted in Charleston, celebrated its official soft launch at the Taste of Black Charleston’s VIP Culinary Experience on March 13. Conceived and hosted by Janon German—a Charleston native and local realtor with a keen eye for Southern living—the series artfully explores the kitchen as the soul of the home. Through a series of evocative conversations, German weaves together the threads of culinary craft, intentional design, and cultural heritage to showcase the profound community ties found within these domestic spaces.
For the launch, the Camden Room was transformed into an immersive sanctuary that echoed the series’ aesthetic. Guests were treated to an elegant experience featuring live demonstrations from acclaimed local chefs, interactive design vignettes, and an intimate stage dialogue that poignantly explored the intersection of home, memory, and the art of Southern hospitality.
